Introducing the new Leapfin experience
Released: March 8, 2024
The following new and updated features were released on March 8, 2024, as part of the new Leapfin experience:
Enhanced user experience
Leapfin has revamped the entire app's user interface (UI) to provide a modern and intuitive design that enhances usability and provides users with a more cohesive experience. We've optimized workflows and interactions to make it easier and more efficient for users to accomplish their tasks and achieve their goals. We’ve also rethought the navigation layout, breaking it down into four main sections (Data, Reports, Accounting, Admin), and relocated it to the left side of the screen for enhanced accessibility and efficiency.
Create, manage, and test your accounting rules
You can now create and manage your full list of accounting rules directly within the Leapfin platform. Leapfin’s accounting rule creator offers complete control over your accounting rules, allowing you to target granular transactional data to generate journal entries. You can configure a single rule to generate multiple journal entry types, including single date, recognition schedule, and reversing, allowing you to easily satisfy your accounting policies and maintain GAAP compliance.
In addition, you can test your rules against real Leapfin transactional data to asses how your rules will impact journal entries. You can easily customize your test data to ensure your rules are tested against accurate and relevant data.

NetSuite journal entry report
The NetSuite Journal Entry Report provides an aggregated view of your daily journal entry data. While the data in this report is view only, you can filter the report and export it to CSV, Excel, JSON, PDF, or directly to NetSuite. Exports can be one-time or automated based on schedule or specific conditions.

Data pipeline
The new Data Pipeline page provides a high-level overview of the status of your raw data imports and subsequent accounting data processing runs, organized in the sequence by which they occur. From this page, you can view details for your last 30 data import and accounting processing runs, including start and end dates, run status, and run length. You can also manually initiate importer and accounting data processing runs with the click of a button.

Data enrichment rules
You can now create, edit, copy, or disable enrichment rules directly in Leapfin to ensure your data is complete and accountable. Our robust set of enrichment tools eliminates the need to cross-reference systems or perform manual augmentation to produce accurate journal entries.
Configurable enrichment types include:
Dynamic links: This enrichment allows you to connect data sets from any source so that the system has all the context needed to automate the accounting.
Lookup value: Similar to vLookup in Excel, this enrichment automates the addition of data to a record by looking it up from another data source and adding it to the current record.
Currency conversion: This enrichment allows you to ensure that records are accounted for in the reporting currency of your choosing.
Note: Currently, you cannot view your existing enrichment rules in Leapfin. Please reach out to your Leapfin Implementations contact for more information.
In-app documentation and support
We have added tooltips throughout the app that provide access to in-context tutorials and documentation. In addition, the in-app Help Center allows you to quickly navigate to our support documentation or submit a support ticket.
